The start of something simple
The W1 was designed to make quality wireless audio easy. Connect virtually any source to any speakers system, without complicated network requirements or setup, loss of audio quality, or frustrating dropouts. That was the goal, and that's what the W1 accomplished in 2008. Today the W1 is discontinued, and its accomplishments (and more) live on in its successor; the W3.
Differences between W3 and W1
The main difference between W3 and W1 is that while the W1 could only "hop" between multiple receivers, the W3 is able to transmit audio to up to 3 receivers simultaneously. In addition, the W3 provides greater resistance to interference from other Wi-Fi devices.
